The 13-strong cast of Fatherland by Scott Graham, Karl Hyde and Simon Stephens, which will be at the Royal Exchange Theatre as part of the 2017 Manchester International Festival, has been announced.

The cast will comprise Joseph Alessi, Luke Brown, Matt Cross, Bryan Dick, Emun Elliott, Ankit Giri, Nick Holder, David Judge, Neil McCaul, Tachia Newell, Ferdy Roberts, Luke Rigg and Deka Walmsley, plus a "Chorus of Others", also referred to as "a cacophony of Mancunian voices".

Fatherland will be directed by Scott Graham with music by Underworld's Karl Hyde and a script by Simon Stephens, with all three taking an authorship credit. It was inspired by conversations with fathers and sons from the three co-authors’ hometowns of Corby, Kidderminster and Stockport, exploring identity, nationality and masculinity.

It will run at Manchester's Royal Exchange Theatre during MIF from 1 to 15 July 2017.
