Catherine McCormack as Mrs Robinson

Full casting has been disclosed for the Leicester Curve and West Yorkshire Playhouse co-production of The Graduate.

As previously announced, Catherine McCormack will play Mrs Robinson and Jack Monaghan takes the role of Benjamin.

Emma Curtis plays Elaine, Tom Hodgkins is Mr Braddock, Rebecca Charles plays Mrs Braddock and Richard Clothier is Mr Robinson.

Director Lucy Bailey said, “The Graduate is a satire on the values and lifestyle of middle-class suburban America. The world seen through Benjamin’s eyes is a heightened surreal version of reality, at times grotesques and absurd. It’s a coming-of-age play, painfully funny and deeply human.”

Based on Charles Webb’s novel, The Graduate, which is adapted by Terry Johnson, involves an educated young man swept into an illicit encounter with an older married woman, setting them both on a thrillingly destructive course.

Design is by Mike Britton. Lighting designer is Chris Davey, sound designer is Mic Pool, video designer is Ian Galloway and assistant director Natasha Hyman.

The Graduate runs in the Studio at Curve from Tuesday 30 May until Saturday 10 June. Press night is Wednesday 31 May.
