Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran’s new play Love Me Do

Sara Topham will lead the cast of Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran’s new play Love Me Do this autumn.

Sara Topham is currently playing Mrs Van Buren in Intimate Apparel at London's Park Theatre; she will be joined by Robert Curtis and an ensemble comprised of Rosie Holden, Peter Clements and Hugo Bolton.

Love Me Do is a love story, set in the shadow of the Cuban Missile Crisis, written by award-winning comedy duo Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, whose credits include Von Ribbentrop’s Watch and, for television, The New Statesman, Goodnight Sweetheart, Shine On Harvey Moon and Birds of A Feather.

Love Me Do receives it world première at Watford Palace Theatre and will be co-directed by Brigid Larmour and Shona Morris, artistic director and creative associate respectively of the venue.

Love Me Do plays from 27 September to 18 October; it will run 90 minutes without an interval.
