In Alan Bennett's Office Suite (in the Minerva from 18th April
to 12th May), the cast will be Patricia Routledge and Edward Petherbridge,
with Jane Dale, Carole Street and David Bannerman. The production,
directed by Edward Kemp, will tour to Bath, Plymouth, Richmond, Salford,
Glasgow and Malvern after its already sold out Chichester run.
The cast of The Last Confession by Roger Crane will be led
by David Suchet, with Joseph Mydell, Michael Cronin, Paul Foster,
Maroussia Frank, John Franklin Robbins, Michael Jayston, Charles Kay,
Joseph Long, Bernard Lloyd, Roger May, Christopher Mellows, Stuart
Milligan, Richard OCallaghan, Bruce Purchase and Clifford Rose.
The Last Confession runs from 8th May (previews from 27th April)
to 19th May in the Festival Theatre. It is directed by David Jones.
From 7th June (previews from 29th May) to 7th July, the seaons's
musical Babes in Arms runs in the Festival Theatre. The cast
is Lorna Luft, Mark McGee, Donna Steele, Sophia Ragavelas, Rolf Saxon,
Karen Aspinal, Stephanie Bron, Philip Catchpole, Kylie Anne Cruikshanks,
Ashley Day, Charles Ruhrmund, Darren Fawthrop, Michelle Francis, Matthew
Hart, Gary Murphy, Kay Murphy, Graham Newell, Joseph Prouse, Catherine
Terry and Oliver Tydman. It is directed by Martin Connor with choreography
by Bill Deamer.
Other productions, for which casting is yet to be announced, are: Patrick
Stewart in Twelfth Night (as Malvolio) and Macbeth; Peter
Bowles in The Waltz of the Toreadors; Mark Rylance in his own
play The Big Secret Live "I Am Shakespeare" Webcam Daytime
Chatroom Show; John Savident in Hobsons Choice and
Daniel Weyman in the revival of last seasons' two-part Nicholas Nickleby.
