As part of Waterside Arts Centre’s 10th birthday celebrations, in Sale south of Manchester, local children have been invited to take part in a special Bringing the Light Lantern Parade on Saturday November 29.
The children will be accompanied by a Samba band as they bring the light to Sale for this year’s Christmas Lights Switch On.
Children have been involved in special workshops taking place across the borough in schools and community centres, where they have been making their own Christmas Lanterns, under the instruction of experienced lantern-making artists.
There will be fun and entertainment from midday in the Square Shopping Centre from Artful Playground Choir, local dance schools, Brooklands School Choir and Sale Nomads.
