Chitty Flies On This coming Saturday, 4th March, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang has its last performance at Sunderland Empire and then heads off to the Palace Theatre, Manchester, where it takes up residence from 20th March to 10th June. The show broke all box office records at the Empire, taking over £3.5m and attracting over 100,000 customers from as far afield as Norway. The cast includes Tim Flavin as Caractacus Potts, Sean Blowers (London’s Burning) and Jane Gurnett (Crossroads) as Baron and Baroness Bomburst, together with 70’s film and Robin Askwith as the evil Child Catcher.
