Coventry’s Belgrade Theatre is on the hunt for young performers to audition for the junior chorus of its 2017 pantomime Cinderella.

Children aged from 9 to 16 are invited to audition at the theatre on Sunday 3 September at 10AM. They will be split into groups and taught a short dance routine by the show’s choreographer which they will perform in front of writer, director and dame Iain Lauchlan.

He said, “I’m very excited to see some fresh new talent at this year’s auditions. Every year, we see hundreds of youngsters, with differing levels of experience in performing, but ultimately we’re looking for plenty of enthusiasm and someone who’ll shine on the stage.”

At the end of the auditions, three teams of eight will be selected as Cinderella’s junior chorus and will appear in performances on the main stage from Wednesday 22 November until Saturday 13 January 2018.
