Dateline: 16th March, 2003

Female Triumvirate at the Citz

For March and April 2003 the long-ruling Glasgow Citizens' triumvirate of Giles Havergal, Philip Prowse and Robert David will be replaced by a triumvirate (triummulierate? trio??) of women directors: Aletta Collins, Phoebe von Held and Caroline Paterson.

  • Collins directs Neil Labute's Bash in the Stalls Studio.
  • Von Held directs Diderot's The Nun (La Religieuse), which she also translated, in the Circle Studio
  • Paterson (Ruth Fowler from EastEnders) directs The Entertainer (John Osborne) in the Main House.

All three productions opened this week and all finish on 5th April.

Havergal, Prowse and David will all be leaving the theatre during the year and there has been much speculation about who will succeed them.
