Performing Arts Education Funding The Clore Duffield Foundation has launched its new Small Grants Programme to fund performing arts education initiatives for children and young people (aged 0-18) across the UK. The Programme will be worth a total of £1 million to small UK organisations over a five-year period from 2005 to 2010. Grants will be available to fund education projects and programmes that cover every aspect of the performing arts, including opera, dance, music, theatre, musical theatre and the spoken word. Both professional and amateur arts organisations are eligible to apply, as are schools. Individuals, museums and galleries, organisations outside of the UK and schools and organisations which are participating in Creative Partnerships are not eligible to apply, nor will it fund general appeals, ticket subsidies, equipment, web-based projects or staff posts. The Trustees will consider requests twice a year with closing dates in early April and early September. The closing date for the first round of applications is on 4 April 2005. Full criteria, application forms, and guidance notes are now available on the Foundation's website www.cloreduffield.org.uk. Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
