Opening up its top floor: Lichfield Garrick

Lichfield Garrick artistic director Tim Ford has introduced a community stage on the top floor of the theatre to encourage artists, schools and community groups to showcase their work.

Ford commented, “as part of our commitment to developing local people and talent and opening up the theatre to more young people, I’m delighted with this new addition to the Garrick Theatre. This new learning and performance space is a wonderful opportunity for local people to book and use on a regular basis for meetings, workshops, rehearsals, performances, talks and showcases.”

The community stage at the Garrick has sound and lighting equipment and a piano. Local people and groups can use it free of charge.

Selected acts will be given a slot on the community stage usually before or after a theatre or studio performance. To apply to perform on the community stage, e-mail [email protected].
