Complicite Abandon Ally Pally Idea Theatre company Complicite has abandoned plans to use the theatre in the Alexandra Palace as its base (see our story of 12th July). The reason for the decision is that the cost of essential repairs has risen from £160,000 to £310,000. Then there would have been the additional costs of making it into a working theatre and, of course, production costs. These costs are out of all proportion to the possible income, a spokesperson said, and so the company had regretfully decided that it would not be possible to go ahead.
