Countess

Countess, written and directed by Amanda Fleming, is a real-life historical story steeped in Gothic horror.

Hungarian aristocrat Countess Elizabeth Bathory, mentally and physically scarred at the ill-treatment bestowed upon her by her aunt and uncle, led a peculiar life believing she could remain young by bathing in the blood of virgins—a true story that has spawned a whole host of books, plays and films.

Halloween performance dates are October 29 to 30 at The Eagle Inn, 19 Collier Street, Salford ("a bare brick non-theatre venue guaranteed to give Halloween chills!").
