Craig Is the New Bond - Oh No, He Isn't! Earlier this week The Sun reported that actor Daniel Craig was to be the new James Bond and had signed a three film contract. It also reported that Clive Owen had also been in contention for the part but had turned it down because he felt it would "limit his career". Producers Eon refused to comment, saying, ""We're waiting for our director to finish the film he's currently working on. Then I'm sure we'll be commenting a lot on all sorts of things." And today it was announced by a spokeswoman for Craig that the story is not true. The Bond rumour mill has had many names in the frame to replace Piers Brosnan, including Orlando Bloom, Jude Law, Ewan McGregor, Dougray Scott and Hugh Jackman. Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
