Danza Contemporánea de Cuba will head to Barbican Hall, London on Thursday 23 February during its UK Tour (14 February to 18 March 2017).

Presented by Dance Consortium and Como No in London, the additional Barbican Hall performance will mark Danza Contemporánea de Cuba’s Barbican debut.

A blend of Afro Caribbean rhythms, jazzy American modernism and inflections from European ballet, Danza Contemporánea de Cuba’s hybrid, hothouse style has been evoking the sensual heart of Cuban spirit for over 50 years.

This new show sees the company team up with three leading and highly sought after choreographers: Sky Arts Award and National Dance Award winner Annabelle Lopez Ochoa (Reversible), the UK’s Theo Clinkard (The Listening Room) and the Company’s own George Céspedes (Matria Etnocentra).
