RIFCO Arts is to take its Bollywood style comedy The Deranged Marriage, written and directed by Pravesh Kumar, on a national tour, starting with previews in Slough and ending with a season at the Riverside Studios in Hammersmith. Rishi and Sona have just met, and now they’re getting married. In the midst of the glittering jewels and spectacular saris, crooning aunties and drunken uncles, is the reason behind it all being lost? Celebrate the British Asian arranged marriage system in all its toe tapping, sari swirling, heart-wrenching glory! No gifts or toasters please! The cast includes Bend It Like Beckham's Harvey Virdi and EastEnders' Pooja Shah, with music by the "King of Bhangra", Kuljit Bhamra.
