Flown: the "perfect start" to Derby Festé

Derby Festé, the city’s “ultimate street festival”, will get off to a flying start this year with Flown by Pirates of the Carabina.

A troupe of acrobats, aerialists, daredevil stuntmen and musicians will put on a “jaw-dropping spectacle” at Derby Theatre.

Sarah Brigham, Derby Theatre’s artistic director, said, “Flown will be the perfect start to Festé and we look forward to welcoming audiences of all ages to this fantastic show.

“Derby Theatre is delighted to be hosting this event and working with Déda, Derby LIVE, QUAD and other cultural organisations to launch the festival in such a spectacular way.

Flown promises to captivate audiences and will complement the main festival weekend in a bold and exhilarating way.”

Flown will be presented at Derby Theatre on Friday and Saturday (12 and 13 September). The main Derby Festé weekend will take place on Friday and Saturday, 26 and 27 September.
