Diana Coupland (1932 - 2006) Actress Diana Coupland has died at the age of 74. She had recently had surgery for long-standing heart problems and failed to recover. "Diana's chances of a full recovery were discussed with her family and they made a decision that she should be allowed to pass away peacefully," said heart surgeon Ramesh Patel. She had intended to be a ballet dancer at the beginning of her career but a riding accident put paid to that and she turned to acting in the sixties. One of her first jobs was to sing in the Bond film Dr No, dubbing Ursula Andress. Most of her work was in television and she is probably best known for the sitcom Bless This House in which she co-starred with Sid James. She also appeared in Juliet Bravo, Triangle, Casualty and EastEnders. Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
