Dateline: 2nd June, 2005
The Donmar New Season - More Details More casting has been announced for Phyllida Lloyd's production of Schiller's Mary Stuart (15th July to 3rd September). Joining Harriet Walter and Janet McTeer will be David Burke, Barbara Jefford, James Fleet and Rory Kinnear. Peter Oswald has written the new version. Christopher Hampton's The Philanthropist will run from 13th September (previews from 8th) to 15th October and Simon Russell Beale plays the title role. It will be followed by Kathy Burke's production of Sam Shepard's Gates of Hell, which opens on 26th October (previews from 20th) and runs until 3rd December. Two productions by Michael Grandage follow: Ibsen's The Wild Duck, in a new version by David Eldridge, runs from 13 December(previews from 8th) to 18th February, and then a new play by Mark Ravenhill, The Cut, which opens on 28th February (previews from 23rd) and runs until 1st April. Ian McKellen stars. Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
