Two of television's most prolific sitcom writers have not one, but two hit shows coming to Blackpool Grand.
Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran are responsible for some of BBC television's most beloved sitcoms including Goodnight Sweetheart, The New Statesman and Shine on Harvey Moon and have now turned their hand to a new stage musical Save The Last Dance, coming to The Grand from Monday June 18.
First though, they'll be bringing a stage adaptation of their most famous and well-loved comedy to Blackpool audiences from April 24.
One of BBC television's most popular and fondly-remembered sitcoms, Birds of a Feather, comes to The Grand with all three of its original leading cast members, Pauline Quirke, Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph.
Save the Last Dance, in June, features the hits of Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman including "A Teenager in Love", "Sweets for my Sweet", "Viva Las Vegas" and the title track plus many more.
