Hurried Steps

Drama Hurried Steps will have two performances on 20 October marking Anti-Slavery Day 2014 hosted by the Tri-Borough Violence Against Women and Girls Strategic Partnership at Kensington Town Hall, London.

The play, from New Shoes Theatre Company, explores stories of domestic violence and child trafficking using eight testimonies collected by Amnesty International.

It is written by award-winning Italian writer Dacia Maraini, recently nominated for the Nobel Prize for Literature and shortlisted for the International Man Booker Prize, and translated by Sharon Wood.

The 20 October event includes a panel discussion with local experts associated with the European Communities Against Trafficking (ECAT) Project.

Hurried Steps is suitable for ages 15 upwards. Schools and groups workshops and an education pack are available.
