Dundee Spring Season Dundee Rep has announced its season from January to June 2010. In-house productions begin with include Peter Shaffer's Equus (27th February - 20th March), which is directed by Jemima Levick. It is followed on 29th March by children's story The Elves and the Shoemakers, adapted by Mike Kenny, which runs until 10th April. The third in-house show is Sondheim's Sweeney Todd, running from 19th May to 12th June. From 17th to 20th February Scottish Dance Theatre will premiere two new works before taking them on a UK and European tour. The first is The Life and Time of Girl A choreographed by Ben Duke from Lost Dog. What she needs is a film crew and a financier, what she's got is a stage and some dancers. A piece about moments of crisis both emotional and financial. It is accompanied by NQR, an irreverent inquiry into the ideas of 'normality'. It examines our irrepressible eccentricities that defy attempts to fit into the mold. This is a three way collaboration co-directed by SDT Artistic Director Janet Smith, SDT's Dance Agent for Change Caroline Bowditch and Marc Brew, currently Associate Director Fellow with the company. There are two other dance shows in the season: Company Chameleon presents Kith/Kin, a double bill of dance on 20th January, and Breakin' Rules (30th Janraury) presents some of Scotland's best hip hop dance crews. Visiting drama includes Fur Coat & Magic Knickers (7-9 Jan), Shopping for Shoes (16 Jan), A Wee Home from Home (23 Jan), Singin' I'm No a Billy he's a Tim (2 & 3 Feb), Hot Flush! The Musical (15 - 17 April) starring Lesley Joseph and Defending The Caveman (22 - 24 April) starring Mark Little.
Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
