Autumn in Dundee Dundee Rep has announced its season from September 2010 to January 2011. Artistic Director James Brining opens the season with Sunshine on Leith (31 Aug - 18 Sep). This award winning show follows the highs and lows of two Scottish soldiers, Davy and Ally, as they settle back into life on civvy street. Staring one of Scotland's best known actors Billy Boyd, Sunshine on Leith opens in Dundee before an extensive tour around Scotland, England and Ireland. Talking Heads by Alan Bennett runs from 22nd to 25th September. Three Ensemble members present three of Bennett's monologues: A Bed Among the Lentils, Her Big Chance and A Chip in the Sugar. Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House (19 Oct - 6 Nov) will be directed by Associate Director Jemima Levick. Sleeping Beauty (29 Nov - 8 Jan), also directed by Levick, is the final Ensemble production this season. Scottish Dance Theatre returns home to the Rep (16 &18 Nov) with another chance to see 'NQR', The Life and Times of Girl A and the duet, Drift. SDT will host an alternative evening of dance Backstage Pass (17 Nov) as they take you behind the scenes at the Rep for close encounters with dance in different spaces. Also in dance this season will be balletLORENT's Blood, Sweat and Tears and two performances by choreographer Dylan Quinn Fallout & Hanging in There (27 Jan). Some of Scotland's best hip hop dancers present Breakin' Rules on 14th & 15th January. Touring shows include Claire Sweeney in Tell Me On a Sunday (27th - 29th September), Just for Joe (30th Sep), The Not-So-Fatal Death of Grandpa Fredo (1st Oct) and RedRag Theatre with Doorways in Drumorty (28th Jan), a new play by Scottish playwright Mike Gibb. Children's shows (including Licketyspit's Magic Spaghetti) stand-up and music complete the season.
