Banging a drum: Danbor Talka: The Clash Of The Drums will be the headline act at the 2015 Derby Festé

Organisers of Derby Festé 2015 have announced that the headline act will be Les Commandos Percu performing the UK première of its drum and fireworks show Danbor Talka: The Clash of The Drums.

Derby Festé was founded in 2007 and has become “one of the country’s leading outdoor street arts festivals”.

Stephen Munn, director of dance venue Déda and artistic lead for Derby Festé, said, “I’m delighted that Les Commandos Percu—who last brought their explosive blend of percussion and pyrotechnics to Derby Festé in 2010—will present their latest show at the Bass Recreation Ground.

“The Dutch masters of street theatre will stalk the streets with their gigantic prehistoric birds in a thrilling night-time procession.

“As usual, audiences can expect a weekend of unforgettable experiences for all the family across Derby city centre.”

Derby Festé 2015 will take place on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 September. It will be produced and presented by Déda, Derby LIVE, Derby Theatre and creative hub QUAD in association with the Without Walls Associate Touring Network.
