Lass Productions' new mystery thriller East of Heysham finds the 50th anniversary of the death of matinée idol James Dean as the catalyst for more than one rebel without a cause.
East of Heysham is written by Morecambe-based National Theatre writer Philip Martin.
Already signed to the cast is 24:7 founder David Slack who makes a rare on-stage appearance whilst director Michael Whittaker is about appear as Joy Division's Ian Curtis in a regional tour of 2013 Manchester fringe hit New Dawn Fades.
East of Heysham will be performed at Manchester's Three Minute Theatre from June 17-19 and Salford Arts Theatre June 24-25, with other venues to be announced.
