The NoFit State Circus tent

UFO Heads for Edinburgh

A flying saucer is due to land in Edinburgh's Leith Walk this August where it will become a venue for the Edinburgh Fringe.

The Space Ship, for that is its name, is a silver big top which belongs to Cardiff-based company NoFit State Circus and it will be the venue for their production Immortal2, in which the audience enter the big top and find themselves immersed in a spectacular theatrical environment. Immortal2 is a promenade event and the show explodes around, above and among the audience in a multi-sensory feast of circus, drama, text, dance, music and large scale video.

It will be set up in Shrub Place next to the city council’s social work headquarters on a piece of derelict land which will soon be a £35m new development with shops, offices and 300 homes.
