The Final 2005 Fringe Firsts

The Scotsman newspaper has announced the third and final batch of Fringe Firsts, an award which is given to high quality theatre performed at the Fringe and which has had no more than six performances before the Festival.

This week's awards go to:

• Broken Road, a crime story performed in the back of a car ar it travels around Edinburgh
• Screwmachine/Eye Candy by CJ Hopkins (Assembly Rooms)
• Trad by Mark Doherty (Assembly Rooms)
• Chamber Made, dance theatre in room 206 in the Caledonian Hotel, by CoisCeim (Traverse)
• The Girls of the 3.5 Floppies by John Tiffany (Traverse)
