More Fringe Awards

As well as the third batch of Fringe Firsts, other Fringe-related awards were announced today:

The Jack Tinker Spirit of the Fringe
Split between venue The World @ St George’s West, which this year featured an international programme of mainly dance and physical theatre, and Live Theatre's production of Motherland at the Underbelly.

The Holden Street Theatre Award
This award offers the winner the chnace to perform at the Adelaide Fringe and was won by The Tailor of Inverness at the Assembly.

The Carol Tambor Award
This award takes the winner to perform in New York and it was won by Eight (Edinburgh University Theatre Compoany at Bedlam).

Meanwhile the Fringe's box office system has been shortlisted for the 2008 Malcolm Hardee Award, awarded for "comic originality of thought or performance"!
