Fringe Awards Shortlists

Three sets of awards at the Edinburgh Fringe have announced their shortlists.

First is the Allen Wright Award which is given to a young journalist (under the age of 30) who is covering the Fringe. Although we don't have the full list, we do know - and are proud to announce - that the BTG's Lucy Ribchester is one of them.

The nominees for the Carol Tambour Award, the winner of will have a two to three week run in January at PS 122 in New York, with all expenses paid by the Carol Tambor Theatrical Foundation, are:

• Big Bite-Size Breakfast Show - Various authors. Conceived by Nick Brice. (Roman Eagle Lodge)
• The Bird and The Bee, by Al Smith and Matt Hartley, respectively. (Underbelly)
• Eight by Ella Hickson. (Bedlam)
• The Idiot Colony by Lisle Turner. (Pleasance)
• 66A Church Road - A Lament, Made of Memories and Kept in Suitcases by Daniel Kitson. (Traverse)
