Proceeds from a gala performance of ELF the musical in November will support the work of Alzheimer’s Society.

The show, which is premièring in London, is based on the 2003 film Elf and stars Ben Forster, Kimberley Walsh, Joe McGann and Jessica Martin playing a 10-week season.

ELF the musical has a book by Tony award-winning Thomas Meehan whose credits include Annie, The Producers and Hairspray and Bob Martin whose credits include The Drowsy Chaperone, with songs by Tony award nominated Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin who wrote The Wedding Singer.

Jon Bodenham, Director of Fundraising at Alzheimer’s Society, said: “we are delighted that ELF the musical has chosen to partner with Alzheimer’s Society for a special fundraising evening.

"We hope that those who attend enjoy a wonderful evening of entertainment, whilst in the knowledge that the money they have spent on tickets will be used to help support the 850,000 people living with dementia and continue vital research."

The director and choreographer is Morgan Young and the musical director is Stuart Morley.

ELF the musical plays the Dominion Theatre from 24 October to 2 January. The gala opening night is 5 November.
