Louis EmerickLouis Emerick will play Captain Hook and Glen Davies his sidekick Smee in Peter Pan, the panto at Buxton Opera House this Christmas.

Emerick is best known for his 12-year stint as cab driver Mick Johnson in the TV series Brookside. He will fulfil a long-held ambition to play Captain Hook.

Davies has appeared in popular TV shows such as New Tricks, Twenty Twelve, Wallander, Law and Order UK and Holby City. He recently appeared with Dame Judi Dench in the feature film The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.

Writer and director of Peter Pan Philip Dart says, “It’s a fantastic story that lends itself well to pantomime as it is so visual.

“Those who enjoy traditional panto won’t be disappointed as Peter Pan will have all the popular songs, colourful dance numbers and comedy routines that people have come to expect from a Buxton Opera House panto.”

Peer Pan runs at Buxton from Wednesday, 12 December until Tuesday, 1 January.
