Equus on Tour Thea Sharrock is to revisit Peter Shaffer's Equus, which she directed earlier this year at the Gielgud with Daniel Radcliffe and Richard Griffiths, in aproduction which is to tour the UK next year. The tour will begin at the Chichester Festival Theatre, going on to the King's, Glasgow and the Theatre Royal, Newcastle, with other dates to be announced. The two leads will be played by Alfie Allen, younger brother of pop star Lily Allen and son of actor Keith Allen and film producer Alison Owen, and Simon Callow as psychiatrist Martuin Dysart. Allan's acting credits are limited to a number of small parts in films and TV series, but he was recommended for the role by Shaffer who had seen him in Atonement with Keira Knightley and James McAvoy. Equus will be produced by David Pugh and Dafydd Rogers. No other details have yet been released.
