To mark the first lighting of the new Liverpool Everyman five years ago, on Saturday March 23, the Liverpool venue will open its doors to allow people to explore and find out more about the award-winning building.

They will be invited to discover parts of the theatre usually closed to the public, and hear about the work of some of the Everyman’s team.

There will also be the opportunity to take a sneak peek at rehearsals for Nick Bagnall’s latest production: an "anarchic" take on the musical Sweeney Todd, featuring former EastEnders actor Kacey Ainsworth.

Workshops for children will take place throughout the day and there will be performances from young people involved in Young Everyman Playhouse to see first-hand some of the work they do.
