Frantic Assembly will be holding workshops between February and April
and in London, Leeds and Birmingham:
Wednesday, 25th February: DIRECTING
A practical session allowing participants to experience the unique
directorial approach of Frantic Assembly's Directors. The workshop
will cover a) an examination of existing Frantic work and b) creative
practical work. A must for those involved or interested in keeping
theatre 'contemporary'.
Wednesday, 3rd March: TEXT
A chance to discover the groundbreaking ways in which Frantic Assembly
have approached text. The company's unique position, at the very forefront
of new writing and integrating text with movement, will be reflected
in a workshop that will present exciting and innovative approaches
to working with a script. Directors and writers particularly welcome.
Wednesday, 10th March: PHYSICALITY
An opportunity to discover Frantic's award-winning approach in creating
physical material. A highly energetic and creative day suitable for
participants with some dance or physical theatre experience.
Wednesday, 17th March: PHYSICALITY (Leeds)
An opportunity to discover Frantic's award-winning approach in creating
physical material. A highly energetic and creative day suitable for
participants with some dance or physical theatre experience.
Wednesday, 24th March: PHYSICALITY (Birmingham)
An opportunity to discover Frantic's award-winning approach in creating
physical material. A highly energetic and creative day suitable for
participants with some dance or physical theatre experience.
Monday, 15th April: STARTING UP A THEATRE COMPANY
A discussion session based on Frantic Assembly's experience of starting
up a theatre company. Looking at the business set up, sources of funding,
tour booking, the Edinburgh festival, budgeting, marketing and other
key issues. A question and answer session will give participants an
opportunity to touch on specific areas of interest.
Tuesday and Wednesday, 13th/14th April: PHYSICALITY (TWO DAY)
An in depth opportunity to discover Frantic's award-winning approach
in creating physical material spread over a two day course. A highly
energetic and creative two days suitable for participants with some
dance or physical theatre experience.
Friday, 16th April: AUDITION SKILLS (HALF DAY)
A half day workshop looking at the practical concerns of the audition
process from the CV to the audition room. Participants will be informed
as to what constitutes a good 'Frantic' audition by way of simulated
'auditions' as well as general ideas about research, presentation
and approach.

unless otherwise stated.
