Telling tales: Jon Buckeridge

Storytelling collective Parable Arts will present The Forgotten Tales, a “fast-moving one-man performance breathing life into the hilarious, heroic and heart-breaking stories that were once well-known across the ancient Celtic Isles”, at Buxton Fringe.

The Forgotten Tales blends storytelling with live folk music and brings together stories from Wales, Ireland, Scotland, England and the Isle of Man.

Parable Arts founder Jon Buckeridge brings to life more than 20 characters, plays multiple instruments, sings in three languages and performs with an array of accents.

Audiences are limited to 13 people at each performance at Scrivener’s Bookshop. The Forgotten Tales will be staged on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 July at 7PM.
