Fringe Beginners Wanted A production company is looking for a theatre company to feature in a documentary about a company taking a new work to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2005. Got a theatre company? Thinking of starting one? This could be your chance to star in a documentary intended for national release. We will be making a documentary that will reveal the blood, sweat and tears that goes into producing a new play and taking it to one of the most respected theatre festivals in the world - the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Our aim is to give the viewer an inside look into the world of the Fringe Beginners. We have the rights for you to produce one of two very unique new plays, both written in rhyming Elizabethan verse. The theatre company chosen will take on all aspects of producing either Ryan J-W Smith's Sweet Love Adieu or The Power Play at the Edinburgh Fringe, including all costs, finding and securing venue hire, and will agree to let us film all aspects of their preparation and production including auditions, rehearsals, front of house and backstage. Details of both plays and this documentary can be found on the websites below:
Interested parties please write (email addresses on the websites) giving details of why you think your company should be chosen. New companies welcome. Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
