Durham's Gala Theatre has announced the cast for this year's panto, Aladdin.
Regulars Neil Armstrong and Paul Hartley both return, with Armstrong, the resident baddie, taking on the role of evil Abanazar, while Hartley plays daft laundry lad Wishee Washee in the show which runs from Thursday 27 November to Saturday 3 January, with matinée and evening performances.
Joining them on stage will be Chris Connell. Fresh from playing in Wet House at Newcastle's Live Theatre, he takes on the challenge of playing Widow Twankey, this year’s larger than life dame.
Viktoria Kay and Robert Hudson return to Gala after appearances in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Durham to play PC Ping Pong and the Emperor respectively.
The Emperor's beautiful daughter Jasmine will be played by Christina Andrew.
