One of the original members of The Flying Pickets will star in Agatha Christie’s Love From A Stranger at The Lowry in Salford from July 10 to 14.

Manchester-born Gareth Williams plays Hodgson in the whodunnit drama. Gareth, who grew up in Blackpool, was bass singer with the Pickets, an a capella pop group, from 1982-89.

Love From A Stranger is a whirlwind romance. When a handsome and charming stranger sweeps Cecily Harrington off her feet, she recklessly abandons her old life to settle in the remote and blissful surroundings of a country cottage. But is her new-found love all he seems?

Williams will star alongside Justin Avoth (Nigel Lawrence), Helen Bradbury (Cecily Harrington), Sam Frenchum (Bruce Lovell), Alice Haig (Mavis Wilson), Molly Logan (Ethel), Crispin Redman (Dr Gribble) and Nicola Sanderson (Louise Garrard).
