Children’s TV presenters Gemma Naylor and Chris Edgerley are to join the cast of Aladdin at Mansfield Palace Theatre at Christmas 2015.
Gemma Naylor will play the independent yet romantic heroine Princess Jasmine while Chris Edgerley will be Wishee Washee.
He said, “I can’t wait for all the panto madness to kick in—oh no I can’t! I’ve heard that Mansfield audiences are very loud and very crazy so we’re going to have a ball—oh wait, wrong panto!”
As previously announced, Philip Martin Brown from the TV drama series Waterloo Road will play villain Abanazar.
Almost half the tickets have already been sold for the show, which runs at Mansfield Palace Theatre from Saturday 28 November until Sunday 3 January.
