Australian solo performer Gillian English, who is bringing three shows to the UK, will return to Buxton Fringe with She Wolf, performed in a cave as a promenade piece of theatre.
She Wolf is a “comedic exploration of Queen Margaret as presented by Shakespeare in four monologues that laid the foundation for a mythical monster”.
Queen Margaret was “a woman so cut-throat and cold she would give Lady Macbeth a run for her money. Only none of that is true. The way we view women in positions of power hasn’t changed much. It shines a light on where we are in the 21st century.”
She Wolf can be seen at Poole's Cavern, Buxton from Friday 19 until Wednesday 24 July at 6, 7:30 and 9PM.
