Glyn Robbins Children's playwright Glyn Robbins died on 2nd January at the age of 66. He adpated for the stage, amongst others, The Hobbit by J R. R. Tolkien; The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe; The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader; The Magician's Nephew; The Horse And His Boy (all by C. S. Lewis); Winnie-The-Pooh by A.A. Milne; Noddy by Enid Blyton; The Wind In The Willows by Kenneth Grahame; The Hundred And One Dalmatians by Dodie Smith and Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson. He bena working with subsidised companies such as the Oxford Playhouse Company, Prospect, Nottingham Playhouse with Sir Richard Eyre. He marketed Arts Council Touring for three years. After a brief period in publishing, he joined Vanessa Ford Productions and has marketed, co-produced and written for the Company since 1980 - apart from periods of ill-health such as when he was receiving a heart transplant at Papworth Hospital in 1993.
