Panto dame Bella Ballcock (aka Ray Spencer, Executive Director) and her daft son Arbuthnot (Davey Hopper) were among 15 people who raised £5,000 for The Customs House by taking part in the Great North Run on Sunday. They ran the half-marathon in full panto costume.

Also taking part in the run and helping to raise money for the venue in its 25th year were actors Steven Lee Hamilton, Luke Maddison and Kylie Ann Ford, who are all regulars on The Customs House stage, and Jake Smith, who directed WORMTOWN at The Customs House last year.

Darren Hymers, a member of the Board of Trustees, and box office assistant Mitchell Robinson also took part and they were joined by members of the public Brandon Lee Evitt, Jonathan Carter, Mark Hodgson, Helen Charlton, Nicola Farrell, Simon Walker and Ed Townend.
