Henry Goodman and Kerry Shale are to star in My Dinner with André
Goodman Stars in Actors Centre Fundraiser

Henry Goodman and Kerry Shale are to star in My Dinner with André by Wallace Shawn and André Gregory at the Almeida for one night only on 25th September.

Directed by Matthew Lloyd, the production makes the launch of Building the Future, the Actors Centre 30th Birthday Fundraising Campaign.

My Dinner with André was made into a cult movie by Louis Malle in 1982, and has never been presented live on stage since the authors performed it themselves in a famous production which had a short run at the Royal Court Theatre Upstairs in 1980.

They have kindly given their permission for this special performance in support of the Actors Centre.

The Actors Centre was created in 1978 by a group of actors led by Sheila Hancock, Clive Swift and John Alderton. Nearly thirty years on, now situated in the heart of the West End, the Actors Centre has a current membership of over 2,300 professional actors, taking over 1,200 classes a year in all aspects of the performing arts, taught by distinguished professionals and expert teachers in all disciplines and approaches.

Today, the Centre is thriving, in spite of the building, and not because of it. The premises need refurbishment, to make them safe, efficient and comfortable; to make them accessible to all; to reduce the noise impact on neighbours and to ensure that the Centre can continue to expand its services in facilities designed to meet the challenges of the 21st Century.

Tickets from £6.00 - £25.00 and can be bought from the Box Office on 020 7359 4404. Orthey can be bought in person at the Almeida Theatre Monday - Saturday between 10am and 7.30pm. Online booking at www.almeida.co.uk.
