Good Reason to Tour Scotland Glasgow-based theatre company Reeling and Writhing is to tour Scotland with a new play in April and May. Good Reason, by Elspeth Murray and Tim Nunn, navigates the complex relationships between lovers, and between a mother and daughter. Annie is a young woman who loves her man, but how does that love compare to the love her mother has for her father? What does she know about her father that may impact on the lives of both women? And just where is her man tonight? Good Reason is written by Edinburgh-based poet Elspeth Murray and R&W Co-Artistic Director Tim Nunn following a long investigation of the subject by the company. The stimulus for the show was the poem Mosaic by Anthony Minghella that has remained as an integral part of the performance. Mosaic was written as the text and soundtrack to a performance for two women - one speaking, one dancing. It was part of a collaboration with the choreographer Jonathan Lunn and was first performed by the actor Juliet Stevenson and dancer Lauren Potter in 1992. The text for Good Reason is not exclusively poetic verse, although the overall impact is strongly poetic. Tour Dates
