Greenroom New Season

Manchester's Greenroom has announced its autumn and winter season, tickets for which are now on sale.

The season launches on 1 October with Emergency, Greenroom's collaboration with hÅb to create a free two-day event that utilises every available space in the building and even spills out into the street.

Shows include Kim Noble Will Die, a multimedia show about failure and entertainment from comedian and artist Kim Noble, TEN from Hetain Patel about the meeting place between the red dot on the Hindu forehead and the red cross on the English flag, The Colour of Nonsense from Forkbeard Fantasy and Michael Jackson from Alex Bradley with Melina Peña, which promises to "drag its audience through the mud of doubt, narcissism and 120 decibels of Quincy Jones white noise".

In dance there will be a new work by Lea Anderson for the all-male dance group The Featherstonehoughs called Edits and Indian classical dance Bharata Natyam from Sankalpam in Corpo-realities.

Journalist and former Haçienda DJ Dave Haslam continues his "Close Up With" series of interview events with Germaine Greer, Specials front man Terry Hall and a third guest yet to be announced.
