Guildford Shakespeare Season The Guildford Shakespeare Company, established in 2006 by two actors as a professional site-specific theatre company, has announced its 2009 season, the fourth. The first production will be The Taming of the Shrew, directed by Charlotte Conquest, which will run from 12th to 27th June in Guildford Castle Grounds (evenings at 7.30pm: no performances on Sunday 14th, Friday 19th, Sunday 21st). The second, from 9th to 18th July, will be at the University of Surrey Lake (evenings at 7.30pm and Saturday matinees at 2.30pm: no performance on Sunday 20th), is The Two Gentlemen of Verona, directed by Joanna Read. The 2009 Season is part of the Guildford Summer Festival.
