Guys and Dolls tours and transfers

Chichester Festival Theatre's production of Guys and Dolls to tour Credit: Paul Coltas

A tour of Guys and Dolls starts in March at the Liverpool Empire whilst at the same time the production currently playing the Savoy Theatre will be staying on in London's West End but moving to the Phoenix Theatre where it is taking bookings through to the end of October.

The show is based on a story and characters by Damon Runyon. The book is by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows, whose credits include It's A Wonderful Life and Breakfast at Tiffany's respectively, and the music and lyrics are by Frank Loesser.

Loesser's songs for Guys and Dolls include "My Time of Day", "Luck be a Lady" and "Sit Down You're Rockin' the Boat".

The director is Gordon Greenberg, the musical supervisor, musical director and dance arranger is Gareth Valentine and the choreographers are Carlos Acosta and Andrew Wright.

Casting for both productions has yet to be announced.
