Dateline: 10th March, 2005
Hall at Bath 2005 The details have been announced of the third Peter Hall repertory season at the Theatre Royal, Bath. From 22nd June to 6th August Thea Sharrock returns to direct Noël Coward's Private Lives. A week later (27th June) it is joined in repertory by Much Ado About Nothing, directed by Hall and starring Janie Dee as Beatrice and Sam Kelly as Dogberry. The second half of the season starts on 10th August with Hall directing You Never Can Tell by George Bernard Shaw, starring Edward Fox as the Butler. It runs until 3rd September. It is joined on 16th August by Hall's production of Waiting for Godot, a play which he last directed in London in 1998 and which he wanted to do there again but the Barbican, which currently holds the rights, refused permission for him to stage it. It, too, runs until 3rd September. No casting, apart from that mentioned, has yet been announced. Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
