Hall Bath Season Starts Rehearsals

Rehearsals have begun for Peter Hall's rep season at Bath Thetare Royal (27th June - 25th August). The season consists of Pygmalion, Little Nell, Victory and How The Other Half Loves in the Main House, and Animal Farm in the Egg.

At the age of forty five, Charles Dickens was at the height of his powers. Revered as much for the staunchness of his moral views as for his literary genius, in the eyes of his adoring public he could do no wrong.
What Charles Dickens kept hidden, however, was his all-consuming passion for Nelly Ternan, a girl young enough to be his daughter, a girl just on the cusp of womanhood...

Vicky was named to celebrate Nelson Mandela’s victorious walk to freedom at the dawn of a new South Africa. Her mother worked happily as Lionel’s maid for seventeen years. Vicky played at Lionel's house as a child as if it was her own home and it was Lionel who encouraged her educational aspirations. So when Lionel- widowed and alone - catches two burglars ransacking his house and finds that one of them is Vicky, it is more than his possessions which are destroyed.
