Anne Edyvean, Head of BBC Writersroom, the organisation's new writing department, will speak at an event next month organised by University Women in the Arts.

She is one of 15 women at the core of University Women in the Arts, a programme supporting women in the arts, responding to their unequal representation in the arts industries.

At this public event, Edyvean will talk about her career, the challenges she has faced and advice she has to offer on working in the arts.

The event will be of particular relevance to female university students of arts subjects but is open to all.

University Women in the Arts is part of the Women of the Future Programme from Central Saint Martins, Writers at Work Productions, Oberon Books and in association with Tonic Theatre.

In Conversation with Anne Edyvean will take place on 9 November at 6PM. This is a free public event but tickets must be booked in advance. Early booking is recommended since the previous two events sold out within a week.
