OSC Announces New Name and New Season The Oxford Stage Company has announced that it is changing its name to Headlong Theatre. The name has been changed "to respond to the companys expanded horizons and renewed ambition under the incoming artistic team. The change away from Oxford Stage reflects the fact that the company is now based in London and is committed to touring ambitious and provocative theatre not just across the UK, but around the world." The new artistic team is headed by Rupert Gould who took over from Dominic Dromgoole in October last year and comprises Gould, along with Henny Finch (Executive Producer), Helen Hillman (Finance Manager), Ben Power (Literary Associate) and Jenni Kershaw (Administrator / Trainee Producer). At the same time it announced its programme for twelve months:
In addition, there will be productions of Angels in America (Parts I and II) by Tony Kushner, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot by Stephen Adly Guirgis and Rough Crossings by Simon Schama, adapted for the stage by Caryl Phillips and based on Schama's book about the slave trade. No dates, venues or other details have yet been announced for these prodcutions. Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
